Proudly independent vet care
for Glasgow’s pets

We're so glad you've chosen ScotVet – and we can't wait to get to know you and your pet.

For over 20 years, we’ve helped Glasgow’s pets live healthier, happier lives. As an independent practice, our vets make decisions based on what’s best for your pet – not a corporate rulebook.

We have two branches in the east end of Glasgow – in Baillieston and Sandyhills – and you’re welcome at either.

Getting to know our services

We offer a full range of care for your pet, and we like to be as transparent as possible about what’s available and what to expect. Here are a few things that are worth knowing about from day one.

Nurse clinics

Our nurses run daily nurse clinics covering weight management, pre and post-op check-ups, wound management, feeding, nutrition, behavioural advice and preventative healthcare – all without needing a vet appointment.

Vaccinations

Keeping your pet's vaccinations up to date is one of the most important things you can do for their long-term health. We offer full vaccination courses for dogs and cats, including kennel cough for dogs who need it.

Dentistry

Dental disease is one of the most common conditions we see – and one of the most preventable. We have a specialist dental X-ray machine which allows us to make much more informed decisions about your pet's care.

Neutering

We recommend neutering all pets not intended for breeding. The procedure is usually very straightforward – your pet can go home the same day, and our team will talk you through everything beforehand.

Small furries

Rabbits, guinea pigs and other small pets are very much part of the family – and very much part of what we do. We're experienced in the specific healthcare needs of smaller animals, from dental care to vaccinations and parasite control.

Pricing
As an independent practice, we’re able to make decisions that put our patients and clients first – and that includes being clear about pricing wherever possible, so you know what to expect when visiting us.

Most procedures have a set price, so our receptionists can give you an indication of likely costs for vaccinations, wormers and consultations. For more complex procedures, we’ll always discuss likely costs with you before treatment begins.

A better kind of vet care for Glasgow’s pets

We’re proudly independent and run by the team you see every day. Our owners Andy and Bob – both experienced clinical vets – have always believed that independent practice ownership is the best way to deliver the best clinical care to their clients’ pets.

We recently welcomed three of our longstanding team members – Louise, Lizzi and Callum – into our leadership team as directors. With decades of experience between them, our practice is in safe hands!
