A friendly, familiar team is always here to support you and your pet.

We believe that building strong relationships with our clients is just as important as the care we provide. By getting to know you and your pet, we can offer a more personal, supportive service every time you visit us.

Our team is proud to care for pets across Glasgow, combining years of experience with a genuine passion for what we do. Whether you’re visiting us for routine care or something more complex, we’re always here for you and your pet when you need us.

Glasgow vets

Dr Louise Mooney - director & vet

Louise graduated from University College Dublin in 2004. She spent two years working in England before moving to Glasgow in 2006, where she worked in the city centre for 12 years before joining ScotVet in 2019.

Over the years, Louise has shared her home with a wonderful variety of dogs – springer spaniels, Kerry blue terriers and Staffordshire bull terriers, as well as a Maine coon cat. She recently adopted a working cocker spaniel from one of the rescue centres ScotVet works with. Now one year old, she keeps Louise and the whole family very much on their toes.

Outside work, Louise has two young children who, she says, have enough hobbies for all of them! When the opportunity arises, the family loves camping, hill walking and weekends away – the dog always included, naturally.

Dr Callum Wright - director & vet

Callum graduated from Glasgow University in 2012. He spent three years in Carlisle working in mixed practice before returning to Glasgow, where he worked across a couple of different small animal practices before joining ScotVet in 2021.

Growing up on a farm meant Callum has had a varied pet history – guinea pigs, lambs, cats and dogs all featured. These days, he has a nine-year-old working cocker spaniel called Winston, who is starting to go a little grey around the face but still has bundles of energy. Keeping up with him on runs around the windfarm is a hobby in itself.

Callum loves keeping active – running, hillwalking, bouldering and squash are all regular pursuits. He has just become a first-time dad, so some of these may be slightly less frequent for a while!

Dr Bieke Demedts-Wilson - vet

Bieke graduated from the University of Ghent in Belgium in 1996. She worked for a year in Belgium, before moving to Scotland in 1997 after marrying her husband. Following a stint working in Glasgow city centre she joined ScotVet in 2002, making her a very long-standing member of the team.

Over the years, a number of cats and dogs have joined the family. At the moment, she has a lovely older ragdoll called Ralphie, who is regularly pestered by his younger brother Oakley, an adoring labradoodle when he feels like it.

Bieke loves spending time in her garden hunting for blooms among the weeds and enjoying the occasional spot of sunbathing, Scottish weather permitting. As her children have grown a little older, she also enjoys exploring new cities with the family. Evenings are best spent with a good book, a hot chocolate and plenty of marshmallows and whipped cream.

Dr Craig Smith - vet

Craig graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2021 and joined the ScotVet team later that same year. His connection with the practice goes back much further though, having first spent time with us on a work experience placement when he was just 13.

He enjoys all aspects of general practice and is a familiar face across our clinics.

Craig doesn’t currently have a pet of his own, but he’s often found looking after his grandparents’ boxer, Jorja. He also previously had a three-legged rabbit, which he says kept life interesting.

Outside of work, Craig enjoys keeping fit, playing video games, spending time with friends, and making the most of Glasgow’s food and drink scene.

Lizzi - director & registered veterinary nurse

Lizzi graduated from Edinburgh Napier University as a registered veterinary nurse in 2009 and joined the team at Sandyhills shortly afterwards. She went on to spend seven years at the PDSA Tollcross before returning to ScotVet as practice manager in 2019.

Many clients will already know Lizzi’s border terrier Rosie, who is a familiar and much-loved presence in the reception area, always happy to meet clients and their pets.

Lizzi loves travelling with her partner to explore new destinations, and taking Rosie for long walks. She is also looking forward to getting married later this year and welcoming her first child in the near future.

Scotvet Annika

Dr Annika Little - vet

Annika graduated from Glasgow University in 2017. She went on to work in the charity sector with the PDSA before completing a rotating internship at a specialist hospital in Surrey. She then returned north to pursue her interest in internal medicine, undertaking a medicine internship at Glasgow Vets. In between, she volunteered at charity veterinary clinics in the Caribbean and the Cook Islands. Last year, she completed her certificate in advanced veterinary practice in small animal internal medicine.

Back home in the Trossachs, the family has a border collie called Maisie – simultaneously very smart and very daft, with the whole family firmly wrapped around her paw. There is also Ocky, a 32-year-old Welsh cob pony who has been with the family since Annika was 12, and whose main passion is eating.

Emma L - registered veterinary nurse

Emma graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in 2015. She worked part-time at both the PDSA and The Veterinary Centre in Uddingston for four years before joining ScotVet in 2019. She is now the practice’s clinical coach, helping to train the next generation of veterinary nurses.

Emma has had a range of pets over the years, including her horse Kerri, who she sadly lost in 2020. Around the same time, she was fostering a little Patterdale terrier cross called Fenton, and she decided she couldn’t give him back. Six years on, his favourite things are chicken, his fluffy toy alligator and long snuggly naps.

Emma is an avid reader and loves nothing more than being curled up with Fenton and a good book. When she’s not reading, she’s out having adventures with Fenton and her fiancé Richy, or planning their next holiday, whether that’s abroad or a staycation with the dog in tow.

Murron - registered veterinary nurse

Murron first came to ScotVet on work experience back in 2015, and that early introduction set the course for her career. She went on to train as a nurse and qualified in 2021, joining the team permanently at the same time.

Growing up, Murron was surrounded by Staffordshire bull terriers and a boxer. She has since adopted a Staffordshire bull terrier cross from the SSPCA – a crazy girl who has been thoroughly spoiled since arriving, and who loves nothing more than cuddles from absolutely everyone she meets.

Outside work, one of Murron’s favourite things is heading to the cinema with her grandad whenever a new Marvel or DC film comes out – always wearing matching T-shirts. She has recently joined a book club too, and is very much enjoying the combination of a good read and a cup of tea.

Jenna - registered veterinary nurse

Jenna first joined ScotVet in 2021 as a student veterinary nurse. After completing her placement year, she joined the team as a fully qualified nurse and hasn’t looked back since.

Jenna doesn’t have any pets of her own at the moment, but she does have a canine nephew – George, a one-year-old English bulldog with a particular talent for charming snacks out of the receptionists during his regular practice visits.

In her spare time, Jenna loves getting outdoors and finding new areas to hike and hillwalk. She also enjoys trying out new hobbies – pottery has been a recent addition, along with cooking and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

Emma - registered veterinary nurse

Emma began training as a registered veterinary nurse in 2015, carrying out her clinical placement at the PDSA pet hospital. She joined ScotVet as a student in 2018 and qualified the following year, and has been part of the team ever since. She is also the practice’s first aider, always on hand to look after colleagues and clients alike.

Emma’s childhood pet was a chocolate labrador called Jess and very likely the reason she pursued a career in veterinary. She now has an almost 13-year-old pug cross beagle called Frankie, who came into her life when she met her partner 11 years ago. He is food-obsessed, endlessly loveable and very fond of a couch snuggle.

Emma leads an active lifestyle – walking is a daily staple, usually with a podcast or playlist for company. She loves weekend adventures with Frankie, trying out new cafes and restaurants and the occasional city break, at home or abroad. She’s also very close to her family, visiting them often.

Sarah, Registered Veterinary Nurse: -
Sarah spent time working at small animal practices, referral hospitals and both the PDSA and Dogs Trust after qualifying in 2004, and has been part of our team since 2021. She is particularly interested in behaviour problems, as well as assisting our vets in surgery. At home she has a Labrador called scoop as well as Maverick and Goose the kittens and two terrapins who are nearly 30 years old! Outside work she enjoys family time, days out, dog walks and socialising with friends.

Sarah - registered veterinary nurse

Sarah joined ScotVet in December 2021, having previously spent most of her career working in referral hospitals and the rescue and charity sectors.

Having always grown up around pets, Sarah’s current household is a lively one. There is Scoop, a lab cross who likes to eat everything, a pair of cats named Maverick and Goose, and two terrapins – both over 30 years old – who have been with her since childhood.

With two young boys at home, Sarah spends most of her time with the family enjoying day trips, movie nights and dog walks.

Connie - registered veterinary nurse

Connie began studying to become a registered veterinary nurse in 2016 at Edinburgh Napier, completing placements at PDSA Tollcross and Vets4Pets Bishopbriggs. She qualified in June 2020 and joined ScotVet at the same time. She has a special interest in cats and is currently undertaking a certificate to specialise in their nursing care, which she hopes to achieve by spring 2027.

At home is Suki, a seven-year-old Shiba Inu Connie adopted at the end of 2023, after losing her beloved Alaskan malamute, Annabelle. Then there’s Theodore, a ten-year-old ragdoll she has had since he was a kitten. Having grown up with cats, dogs and rabbits, Connie can’t imagine life without pets.

Connie, her husband and their two children love travelling – Disney trips and visits to London for West End shows are firm favourites. She also enjoys long walks, catching up with friends and watching NFL games with her husband during the season.

Kiera - registered veterinary nurse

Kiera joined ScotVet during her third year of training at SRUC Barony, and after passing her exams, permanently joined the team in 2025.

Kiera grew up with Airedale terriers and now owns giant schnauzers and a Hungarian wirehaired vizsla, along with a range of other pets over the years – gerbils, lovebirds, fish and even African land snails.

Much of Kiera’s spare time is spent in the show ring with her vizsla, and she occasionally competes in obedience too. When she’s not showing, she loves to travel and explore new places around the world.

Yvonne - receptionist

Yvonne ran ScotVet’s puppy classes for over 12 years before joining the reception team at Sandyhills in 2009. She then moved across to the Baillieston branch when it opened in 2019.

At home is Thor, a five-year-old Staffordshire cross who Yvonne rescued from the SSPCA when he was just ten months old.

Yvonne loves going on long walks with Thor and spending time with her family – especially her grandchildren. She enjoys cooking and baking for the people she loves, and makes the most of pampering days out with one of her sons. Overnight stays with her friend Christine, a former ScotVet RVN, are also a regular and much-looked-forward-to highlight.

Scotvet Cheryl 2026

Cheryl - receptionist

Cheryl spent 14 years working in a bakery before making the move into the veterinary industry in 2017. She worked at the PDSA for a couple of years before joining ScotVet in 2019.

She has a nine-year-old cat called Rosie who lives with her parents and apparently isn’t all that pleased to see her when she visits. She makes up for it with her canine nephew Brando, the Dog Father – named after Marlon Brando, naturally – who is very much a fan.

Cheryl loves music. She is always listening to it, always reading about it and, by her own admission, always singing. If you’ve witnessed this, she apologises. She also loves spending time with her sister and family.

Chelsea - receptionist

Chelsea joined ScotVet a year ago after working at Vets4Pets in Bearsden. Before moving into veterinary, she tried her hand at a few different careers – property and banking among them – but kept coming back to animals. Her main background is with horses, and she spent a number of years working with the Riding for the Disabled Association.

The light of Chelsea’s life is Juve, a Pekingese named after Juventus FC, and her whole world revolves around him. The newest addition to the family is Olive, a black cat with such a passion for food that she has earned the affectionate nickname Miss Tubbs.

Chelsea loves a good walk, a DIY project around the house and losing herself in a good book with a glass of something bubbly at the weekend.

Scotvet Ceri

Ceri - receptionist

Ceri joined ScotVet almost two years ago after working at two other practices. Before that, she studied architecture and interior design, a career path she ultimately decided wasn’t for her.

She has three house rabbits called Onyx, Echo and Archer. They are thoroughly spoiled and have their own bedroom complete with a castle. The girls can be a little antisocial, but Archie is a committed couch companion who has developed a fondness for watching football.

Outside work, Ceri loves visiting family, going out for nice meals and taking on the occasional DIY or redecorating project. She also enjoys gaming in her spare time.
